Scientists map hair follicle formation in spacetime, advancing understanding of how organs develop

Scientists developed technology to capture 3D molecular snapshots of hundreds of developing hair follicles and reconstructed time to create stop-motion animations showing organ formation. The research, published in Cell, maps hair follicle development across both space and time at the molecular level.

Climate change could triple wheat prices by simultaneously causing water shortages across major wheat-growing regions in North America, Europe, and Asia. These shortages would increase costs for bread, pasta, and breakfast cereals on supermarket shelves.
