feedd. (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates feedd.io, a news aggregation and daily digest service. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
1. Information We Collect
Email address. When you subscribe to the daily digest, we collect your email address. Providing a category preference (Business, Tech, or Crypto) is optional.
Usage data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and page-level request data. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To send you the daily feedd. email digest you subscribed to.
- To manage your subscription preferences and process unsubscribe requests.
- To maintain and improve the service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate feedd.:
- Supabase — stores subscriber email addresses and story data on servers located in the European Union. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
- Vercel — hosts the feedd.io web application and API. Vercel may process request metadata as described in their own privacy policy.
- Summary processing — article titles and RSS descriptions (not your personal data) are processed by a third-party API to generate story summaries. No subscriber information is used in this process.
4. Cookies
feedd.io does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The site may use a minimal session cookie to support form submissions. No data from cookies is sold or shared.
5. Data Retention
We retain your email address for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your email address is removed from our active list within 30 days. You may request permanent deletion at any time by contacting us.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any digest email.
If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. Access to subscriber data is restricted to authorised personnel only and is protected using service-role authentication.
8. Children
feedd. is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
