Butterfly ranges shift worldwide amid climate change, with most species expanding their reach

Eighty percent of 1,758 analyzed butterfly species expanded their geographic range, with 79% of range shifts linked to climate change and extreme weather. Twenty-seven percent of species also experienced range contractions, and 22% showed elevation changes.
