Wholly artificial intelligence-generated songs will be banned from Australia's official ARIA charts starting next week, though AI-assisted tracks with human songwriting and vocal performances remain eligible. An AI-created variation of Madonna's "Like a Prayer" that peaked at number two on May's singles chart prompted the industry association to establish requirements that humans must write songs and perform lead vocals and primary instruments.
