A colossal magma system has been hiding beneath Tuscany

A magma reservoir covering approximately 6,000 cubic kilometers has been detected beneath Tuscany using seismic sensors that recorded natural ground vibrations. The discovery demonstrates that massive volcanic systems can exist without surface indicators and may help locate geothermal energy sources and critical minerals.
